Loreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation Review

IMG_20150324_185545

Hi ladies! So these are my 2 new favorite drugstore products.  I’ve been using this foundation for about 2 weeks now and I think it may be my new “Go to” when I don’t feel like using my more expensive foundation.  L’Oréal Infallible pro matte foundation works amazing ! I have combination skin so I hate when I put foundation on and my face feels oily after a while in my T zone area, but not with this. I would wake up at 630 to get ready for work and even after 8 hours of work and coming home to cook and deal with a baby my face would be perfect. Not oily or shiny. And mind you I touch my face A LOT. Most of the time I forget I have makeup on lol. That’s another thing I LOVE that it doesn’t make my face cakey or feel like I have a bunch of makeup on. Now idk if it’s because I bought the makeup spray to go with it or what but this is deff my favorite foundation thus far. I’m not going to lie the packaging is half the reason I bought them in the first place! lol. They look so much more expensive for being a drug store product and that’s one of the reasons I really liked them. As much as I love Ulta or Mac you don’t ALWAYS have to spend a fortune on good makeup products! I believe the foundation was 14.99 and the makeup spray 15 or 16 dollars at  Rite Aid. The foundation I use is in the color caramel beige. I will try and post pictures of my makeup but I still don’t have a good camera so I apologize in advance! Let me know what you guys think of this foundation or if any of you have tried it yet! Comment below or follow me on IG @thebeautyvixens 🙂

Hair extensions: 220g of life

extensions 1Hey dolls, I’m back!  Sorry I haven’t posted anything in 3 days. I’m trying to make a goal for myself where I write a post every night but its SO hard working full time and a 9 month old needing all your attention lol. Don’t worry I will get better! Anyway, tonights post I wanted to make about my hair and extensions! Now I am obviously not a natural bright red head, my hair is a dark, dark brown almost black. Well after I had my daughter I kept saying I wanted to do something different to my hair but I didn’t know what. One day I told my mom to dye it red and now I am in LOVE with my hair color. I love my black hair but I will be a redhead for a very very long time ! So yesterday night my extensions came in. Now I was debating between getting another set of Bellami hair extensions or trying out a new brand. I came across Jacqui White (IG – _JACQUIWHITE) , she had a review on scene_grlz_hair  (a growing customized hair extenstions business on IG) and I just knew these were the ones I had to buy. Don’t get me wrong my bellamis are great but I think they have too much hype and are way overpriced. I bought 22″ 220g jet black bellamis and they were $230. Now the scene grlz extensions I bought were 20″ 220g for $150 AND the quality of them are amazing! This was the first time I bought extensions through a business on Instagram but I am so glad I did!! There are 9 clip in pieces in all and the picture posted I don’t have them all clipped in. I also dyed them. They were a sort of light blonde color and I was so surprised at how good the color took, especially for dyeing them on the first try. Below are some pictures of how I dyed them and what I used.

I used three 1.2 oz tubes and 3 oz of 40 creme developer for each tube. I did 2 tubes at first and then opened up the last one after just to make sure there would be no blonde spots left.

I combed through the hair and then placed one weft at a time onto the aluminum foil. With the brush applicator I would do section by section until it was covered in dye. I then flipped the weft over and did the same thing to that side.  After I did that to each weft of  hair I massaged the extra dye into the hair and left it for an hour. Rinsed with cold water and deep conditioned for about 5 minutes. These were the results after completely being washed of everything.

I then quickly just blow dryed them so I can see the actual color of them. These were the before an afters. AMAZING!!

This all took me about 2-3 hours but it was well worth it for the results! I’m more than happy with the product and I will deff be buying more in the future! Make sure to follow me on IG @thebeautyvixens and  @scene_grlz_hair and check her weave out. I will be posting more hair pics up soon I just really wanted to share this with you guys 🙂

All Things Beauty

unnamed (2)

Hello dolls!! My name is Ashley and I welcome you all to my blog. I am VERY new to this so please bare with me and I apologize if I am a little all over the place! I’ll start off with a little bit about myself. I LOVE everything about beauty. From fashion to makeup, hair and everything in between. As a kid I said I would one day become a fashion designer (before I knew about adult responsibilities lol!) but hey you never know.Anyway, so I am very much into all the fashion trends etc. I am a mommy to a little 9 month old baby girl named Layla so yes it is very difficult to always be dressed up and do my makeup without being interrupted every 5 seconds. To be honest, I feel like I live a double life! Ha, let me explain. I work in the billing department at a medical office monday through friday, I wear scrubs and half the time my hair is not always done lol. Then I come home to cook, clean and be a mommy (which I love) but it doesn’t really give me any time to actually dress how I want to or do my makeup. That’s where the weekends come in and I can transform! I love and enjoy the process of getting ready to go out. I pick out an outfit, do my hair, makeup and of course selfies! I always get asked either for outfit details or how I did my makeup so I decided to make a blog. “BeautyVixens” All Things Beauty blog will be me just sharing my beauty tips, opinions and just to share everything I have learned from just watching tutorials on Youtube with all of you! I’ve been wanting to start something I enjoy for a while so I hope this blogs helps you just as much as its going to help me. Stay tune ladies I have a lot of surprises in store!
